"What is electro-acoustic music?", "Are there composers in Ukraine who work with electronics?", "But electronic music is "not live" in contrast to "live" acoustic music"?
These questions and stereotypes are quite common in the ideas of many people about what electroacoustic music is. In order to dispel such myths and prejudices, in 2011, Ostap Manulyak invited a group of enthusiastic students to hold a concert at the Lviv Music Academy, which would clearly demonstrate that electronic music is not limited only to popular electronic dance music but in fact mainly is presented by wast number of contemporary clssical compositions and alive, exciting, relevant and extremely interesting live performances. The result was a small concert called Ars elettronica where the works by Yuriy Bulka, Andriy Dziatko, Ostap Manulyak and Yuriy Seredin were performed. A year later, this idea grew into a small festival, which has been called VOX ELECTRONICA since 2013.
The VOX ELECTRONICA electroacoustic music festival is an annual event presenting a cross-section of modern electroacoustic music trends. The goal of the festival is to create a unique environment for the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and foreign composers, performers and artists working in the field of electroacoustic music or in general experimental music and  art.
